This is a brand new DBI-Sala SRL. I have 2 of these. They retail for $1600+ and I am selling them for $900 each. Manufactured in Feb 2019 so these are brand new. I do not have the orig il nal packaging, but the labels and the unit itself is unblemished.

It is in perfect shape and is a great investment for a safety minded worker or organization. This particular model retails for around $1600. This SRL is unique because it has a self rescue option as well as a standard fall arrest i p tion. When in fall arrest mode, like most self retracting lanyards, when a worker falls, the lifeline pulls out of the SRL at a fast rate. This speed of the cable triggers the fall arrest functionality to engage and the workers fall is stopped in a very short distance. The SRL prevents shock to the body by gradually stopping the fall. Even though this happens in a very short distance, the unit absorbs the force of the fall so as to prevent the worker from being injured by an abrupt stop.

When in the self rescue mode, the unit still identifies when a fall is taking place and it reacts nearly instantly. In this mode however instead of stopping the fall and leaving the working hanging, thcable is allowed to continue unreeling until the end of the spool to provide the worker with a safe, controlled descent. The worker is lowered at less than two feet per second to allow them to be lowered to the next platform down from the fall.

The fall arrest mode is a great feature during any operation where falling is a hazard.

The self rescue mode is a great feature because it allows flexibility to the worker which allows them to work safely even when working solo.

The SRL comes with 50 feet of 3/16" lifeline made of stainless steel (plus a reserve lifeline length to offer protection when the worker falls while near the end of the standard deployment length). In addition to the stainless steel (vs galvanized steel) line, This version comes with the swiveling hook.

There are indicators on this unit to allow for visible detection that the unit has arrested a fall. After a fall is arrested a red ring becomes visible at the swivel fitting at the attachment caribiner. There is also a label that is visible on the reserve lifeline once that length of line has been utilized during a fall arrest. These indicators are important because any time an SRL arrests a fall and causes the indicators to become visible, the unit needs to go in for service so that the indicators can be reset and so that the unit can be recertified as safe and strong enough to prevent another fall.

This unit has been tested to ensure that the fall arrest brake engages when the line is pulled quickly (simulating a fall). And it has also been inspected to insure that neither impact indicator has been activated. It retracts perfectly. Smoothly. The cable is completely rust free, shiny, and free of all defects, pinches, kinks, etc. It is absolutely ready to be put to work. The manufacture date is February 2019 so it is brand new.

Like many other dbi-sala products, this SRL comes with an isafe component. It allows inspection, identity and other data to be stored for this unique device and accessed and read with an isafe tool (not included). This feature is great for helping equipment managers and organizations keep track of age, service history, assignments, etc for all of your dbi-sala harnesses, srls, winches, tripods, and other safety and confined space equipment with an isafe tag/component.

The attachment point to the workers harness is a swiveling , locking caribiner. At the other end of the device, the SRL comes with a swiveling block, ready to be attached to your anchor.

This SRL meets the following standards/approvals:
    ANSI Z359.1, ANSI Z359.14, OSHA 1910.66, OSHA 1926.502

It weighs only 19 lbs and has a capacity of 310 lbs.

    From Pk SafetyS website:

The Ultra-Lok RSQ Self Retracting Lifeline is an innovative piece of fall arrest equipment, which not only acts as a SRL, but also offers an automated rescue system should you have a fall. The UltraLok is designed and built by the fall safety experts at DBI-SALA and Capital Safety, so you can be sure this is one quality lanyard. An SRL is a great piece of kit, giving you a level of on site flexibility that you can't achieve with a traditional lanyard. Thanks to the speed sensing brake falls are arrested in a matter inches, as opposed to feet, which greatly reduces fall forces and clearance requirements. The auto slacking line and retracting nature means less on site tripping or snagging of the lines too, making it all round safer and more convenient. The technology behind the rescue system (or RSQ system, as it is known) acts to arrest a fall, as with any other SRL, after this a special centrifugal brake activates to slowly lower the wearer down to the next level. This system can be turned on or off, but when active nothing need be done to start the RSQ mode after a fall, it will initiate all on its own. Constructed from durable thermoplastic and zinc-plated steel housing to protect the inner workings of the lanyard, this is a tough piece of kit. The 50 ft. line is made from 50 ft. of 4.7mm thick galvanized steel cabling, this can support a weight up to 310 lbs., and still keep fall forces below OSHA requirements. Should you need a more durable line a stainless steel option is available, making it ideal for coastal and marine work sites (should this not be tough enough for you, you may want to check out the IP68 weatherproof Sealed Blok SRL, also from DBI-SALA). The whole of the Ultra-Lok weighs only 19 lbs. and with a carrying handle built into the device, means it is a breeze to get set up on site. A spinning top connector and swivel hook are also available for further convenience you while working. The i-Safe tracking system is built right into the Ultra-Lok, allowing the simple scanning and logging of equipment: serial numbers, maintenance checks and issues can all be logged via portable scanners and stored online in DBI-SALA's secure web portal. The system utilizes RFID tags which require no batteries, and are grease, dust and waterproof; making them idea for routine checks and accountability monitoring. (NOTE: THIS IS THE UPGRADED VERSION WITH THE STAINLESS STEEL (NOT GALVANIZED) LINE).
