Hot line clamps, Slow taps, hot taps...
Always made up on stirups unless on copper.
The name slow tap comes from the old spring type taps being fast and the new more realiable when actually tightend down slow taps or hot line clamps
hot line clamps or hot taps is all I've ever heard'em called
Someone mentioned other names for hotline clamps...so Ill just ask what other names have you heard weatherheads called????I knew one guy who called them monkey faces...imagine that.
weatherheads = mast caps, monkey caps
hot line clamps = duck bills

As of April of 2010 I quit smoking! It's been hard but so far no butts! I am now an X smoker!
Hot line clamp or live line clamp, for us duck bill clamps are used on grounds or jumpers and have a higher ampacity than live line clamps.
At CHANCE we called the tap clamps.
