I kinda sorta have a question Ben........ Do they become less desirable for table fare as they get larger? I know some species like redfish are worthless after they get to a certain size( I bleve most of the big uns are female and suitable only for reproduction) Catfish are also less desireable after they attain monster status.I know a flounder is highly desireable but they hardley ever get much bigger than 5 or 6 pounds.

    Cool Yes

I've been told halibut over 50 to 60 lb's are tuff. There still good eating but a little tuff. So far my 65 lb'er was real good. I'll let you know if I catch a bigger one.

    Default Wolves

Yea, there were 'bank beavers' in here before the river changed. We rode up on this in the afternoon from the downwind side coming back to camp. There were 5 wolf pups(all black ones) playing just like dog puppies. They were as surprised as we were. One of the guys wanted to shoot 'em, but nobody had the 'heart' to do it !!

We went back the next day, but the she wolf had probably already moved 'em. An old trapper told me that a wolf will usually den close to water. This one was close to Moose lick as well. So the ole wolf had picked a pretty good place. That same Trapper said that if you find a den after they have their eyes open, she will move them if there is any human contact.
