heres my take ... im a 4th step ape in california ... i went to NLC for a month before i got a job, withdrew from NLC to take the apprenticeship ... having gone to the school for a month, i would recommend it simply because it does get you in the door, my brother in law did the full 15 weeks and is now a groundman in line for the ape-ship, bottom line is while your at your school for 12 months there at theirs for what 3 1/2 and get the same job, yeah you might know more right out of ther gate but if you went in at the same time as a NLC grad he'll know more by the time you get out cuz hes been in the trade working. so good luck, youll love the trade

Everyone has issues of their own to deal with,Nuff said.I just hope all these future lineman prospects keep the attitudes they have developed because I can tell you that nothing makes a lineman happier than a new grunt with attitude, good luck to all,you are gonna need it.
