    Not the real Q for today just a little teaser untill I get a pic of what I want you to answer. BUT what do ya reckon the safe working load is for a bond like this... ?????

    I'm not sure what the actual safe working load of the steel cable is, but it looks like a nice job of putting an eye or Molly Heegan in it to me, can't tell a lot from the pics but I wouldn't be scared to use it.

    Give your answer in tons If ya can. Coz that's how its stamped on the ferrul. ( Being irish, me maths wouldn't be great , doing the conversion might be a wee bit dificult).

    Not having any idea about the OD, costruction or core, I am going to guess the nominal strength to be about 300 Tons.With a safety factor of 5 to 1, that would put the SWL around 60 tons
