Here we use two types, for 12kv we have the hard orange plastic guards, and for 34.5 we use the round type, thicker plastic line guards, even seen some yellow ones.Anyone use the thinner flat types on 34.5?

The best part about the hard "taco" covers is they do not need to be periodically tested like gut. Only a visual before use to determine if they have been damaged.

Not so here! Hardboard has to be tested every 3 years, rubber every year.
