* As per IBEW Collective Agreement. * (Refer to Memorandum of Understanding #42). * An employee qualified to drive and operate the hole digging attachments, pole setting and related equipment on line trucks.
As per IBEW Collective Agreement. * Successful applicant must be able to obtain Crane Operators Assessment Application letter from BC Association for Crane Safety. * Forklift operator's certificate would be an asset. * A valid BC Class 1 driver's licence with air brake endorsement. * Good understanding of Safety with regards to work procedures. * Demonstrated ability to set poles / timbers near energized transmission lines. * Transmission experience would be an asset. * Demonstrated knowledge of barehand procedures. * Demonstrated knowledge of boom and jib operation using live line procedures.

* Successful candidate must live in a primary residence within 30 km / 30 minutes of the Cranbrook headquarters. * Travel away from headquarters will be required. * Will be required to work in and/or around/under helicopters. * A condition of this position is you maintain your BC Driver's License: Class 1 in good standing. * Successful applicant must be able to obtain Class A Crane License - Stiff Boom - Up to 40 Tonne. * An exam/evaluation may form part of the selection process. * BC Hydro conducts pre-placement medical checks of applicants entering certain positions to help safeguard BC Hydro’s workplace. As part of the selection process, you may be required to demonstrate successful completion of a pre-placement medical check. * Please be advised that this role has been assessed as safety sensitive and pre-qualification alcohol and drug testing will be required as a pre-condition to employment. * BC Hydro employees will be required to provide proof they are fully vaccinated effective November 22, 2021.
