SRP is recruiting for Journeyman, Electric Utility Lineman to work in our Distribution Grid Services and Transmission Line Design, Construction and Maintenance divisions.

Selected candidate will:

  • Perform skilled work on energized or de-energized overhead and underground transmission, 115kv, 230kv, and 500kv, sub-transmission (69kv), distribution (12.4kv and 22kv), services, streetlights, communications and associated equipment. 
  • Be subject to call-out on a 24-hour basis   

Requirements: 

  • Completion of a state or federal apprenticeship program approved by the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC) OR completion of a 3-4 year formal training program. (Copy of apprenticeship completion certificate with formal training transcripts required.)
  • Must possess a VALID Arizona Commercial (Class A) driver’s license and/or be able to obtain an Arizona Class A CDL once hired.
  • Must pass written exam and demonstrate climbing skills.   
  • Must be proficient with hot stick.

Hourly rate:  $51.35/hr.

Sign-on bonus:  $10,000 sign-on for all successful hires (certain rules apply)

Shift: Normal Work Week (includes days, swing, or graves)
