Responsibilities

Pacific Power’s Klamath Area has an opening for a journeyman lineman to join their team located in Klamath Falls, OR (Oregon’s City of Sunshine.)  The district covers approximately 3,440 square miles in both Oregon and California.  Work includes new installations, maintenance and troubleshooting on transmission and distribution electrical systems overhead and some underground.  The Klamath Area is home to Crater Lake National Park, Lava Beds National monument, numerous wildlife refuges, and the largest body of freshwater by surface area in Oregon.  If you like hunting, fishing, boating, camping, hiking and other outdoor activities, meet the requirements below and want to join a professional hard working team, please submit your application.

Immediate opening for Journeyman Lineman with an hourly wage rate of $56.19 per hour.  In addition to a competitive hourly wage, this position offers enhanced extension of workday premiums, enriched Saturday and Sunday pay premiums, 20% standby pay premium, tool allowance and comprehensive group health benefits and 401(k) matching.

**For qualified candidates, the Company will offer a $20,000 relocation award for required moving related expenses.

Requirements

• Journeyman Lineman certification
• Must possess formal hot stick training and experience
• Must possess or be able to obtain, a Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Required to pass a post-offer pre-placement physical capacity screening, conducted by a licensed physical therapist, to assure the candidate meets the physical demands of the job. The screening, which is at the company’s expense, will only assess the identified physical demands of the job.
• High school diploma or high school equivalency required

Physical Demands

Job duties of the Journeyman Lineman require sustained, awkward positions/postures including bending and twisting at the waist and neck; reaching forward, to the side, across the body and overhead.  Lifting requirements in excess of 75 lbs. and pushing and pulling in excess of 100 lbs. is required.  Forceful grip and pinch; manipulation of small objects; balancing on one or both legs during dynamic activities; manipulation of large objects during activities requiring balance and sustained awkward postures is required.
