The City of Shelby, Ohio located in Richland County, is actively seeking a Class A Lineman.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for operation, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing the city’s electric transmission and distribution system. Possess the skills, abilities, and craftwork of a Journeyman Lineman. A Job Description can be found below for a complete job summary.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; the successful completion of a minimum of four years of progressive on the job work and technical training in all line craftwork, and/or four years as a qualified Journeyman Lineman; Commercial Class B Driver’s License.

Benefits Package

The city offers an excellent comprehensive insurance package without pay withdraws. The hourly rate is $32.01 - $33.11 per hour plus applicable miscellaneous pay. Qualified applicants are eligible for the vacation accrual schedule.
