Where is their Daddy when he's needed

most?

He's out playing lineman

and fixing your post.

The thought keeps going through my head

how many are out that that will end up dead,

how many marriages can withstand this storm?

It's not an easy life to live,

not knowing where you're at or who you're with..

I can only pray that you keep your mind in the

right place, we are at home we are safe.

I hold the baby tight as I lay there with her,

she's to little to understand

Daddy had to leave tonight.

The boys are older, they understand

but still sometimes

they need your shoulder.

I play Mommy and Daddy to our

three kids, and you don't understand

the life that WE live.

You promise there's an end,

An end to what?

I'm afraid I

don't understand.

This is your life and

you are my man.

I can't take the lineman out of you,

But so many time I would love to.

This is your job, this is your calling

you are good at what you do

but our marriage is falling.

Help me understand your love for this

job, I thought I was your first love,

undoubtedly not.

I love you more than life itself,

I'm tired of being lonely and

you sharing yourself.

And the women they are a dime

a dozen, but leave them alone

and be my husband.

Make me Proud to call you my

lineman!!

Lately all you have given me to

hold is a phone, i need more I need

you home!!

 

This goes out to all the brave men that will go out and keep the lights going for us, but also to all the brave women that never tell the stories of what they know their men were doing when the work for the day was done..  You hear about how good these men are with the job, that's true but you NEVER hear about how these men do the wife they have that is sitting at home worried to death if they will even come home safe.  The thanks they get for standing by their man is to find out that he cheated while he was gone.  I'll be the first to admit this life is hell and if you stick it out and stand by your man then you deserve an extra jewel in your crown when you make it to heaven.
