The message followed the right away and we were the last to hear.



He said “son this is no occasion to celebrate or to drink cold beer.”

Your going hot ape at least that’s what they say.



The apes face grew long, and there was a faint look of gleam. It was hidden from most and could not really be seen.

The Ape was quite happy that his chance was finally here but was he really ready

To meet what most people feared.



He has spent thousands of hours learning not to burn.

They told him to be patient that it would soon be his turn.

He would get new rubbers and long black sleeves.

But would these be enough to keep his mind at ease?
His neck had grown tired from watching them work above.

Now the time has come to learn what he says he loves.



Take your time ape and don’t move to fast! Build it right son it has to last!

Rubber up before you get there and grow eyes behind your head and think about what your doing and you won’t go home dead!



Don’t put yourself in series and keep your work out of your face.

Remember this is no contest.

“And son this is no race.”



As the day faded to dusk and their tools were stowed away, the ape took some time to think about what they had to say. See this is no laughing matter and I know Ill do my best.

Every job will be a challenge and each day will be a test.

So I must think about what I’m doing and how to do it right.

And if I do it safely I will make it home each night.
