Submitted By - THE BOOMER’S DREAM---PART 1He showed up for work at the pearly gate,
St. Peter asked why he was late!!
I’ve worked a long time and I’ve grown old.
And I heard this line had poles of gold.
Instead of hooks, you use golden wings
To string the wire and do other things.
Beautiful angels are around all the time.
The foreman and men all ear big smiles.
As they string the wire miles upon miles.
Working conditions are the very best.
You work one day, have six to rest.
You roam at nite among the stars.
No vice at all there are no bar.
Never a hangover, you feel good all the time.
So I’ll settle down on this job and wait for
The Boomers to come thru the Pearly Gate!!

AND THE BOOMER AWOKE PART 2
He tossed and tumbled in his bed,
Awoke in the morning with a big head,
The night before he had quite a few,
And he felt bad as he joined the crew.
They arrived on the job, and there were the poles.
Ninety-feet tall and sittin in holes.
No x-Arms of gold on the poles did he find!!!
But high on those 90’s were x-arms of pine.
No beautiful angel with a gold handline
But a smart-alec grunt in a bad frame of mind.
The foremen laid out work mile after mile.
His voice was gruff, and he wore no simile.
Working conditions were far from the best.
You labored 40 hrs., had 2 days of rest.
Now if you work safe, keep clear of all grounds.
You’ll live a long time and still be around.
But, after a bad nite, you make one mistake,
You’ll never clear thru that Pearly Gate.
St. Peter will check your record. And you never
Can tell. You may get the hot work down in
HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
