Fla. Death I heard that a FPL lineman got killed working in a single trouble bucket by Asphlund non-over center which broke at the knuckle where the fiberglass and metal meet on Tuesday and died on Wednesday. I heard in the Flagler yard which is near Daytona,Fla. His name was Rice.......details are foggy at this time.....hate to hear of any in the trade getting hurt or killed ....OLE'SOREKNEES

On October 1 in the Flagler area of Florida Power & Light territory a Troubleman was killed when the boom on the L-36 basket truck broke off at the knuckle. The fiberglass boom sheared off at the junction with the steel knuckle. Looked like it had been cut off with a saw. Check the booms before you fly and as always work safe.
