On Sept. 20. in separate incidents, there were two electrical fatalities in MD. during restoration efforts in the aftermath of hurricane Isabel. The first one was a 47 yr.old lineman from another state. Preliminary reports state that he was clearing some brush away from around a pole when he came in contact with a downed 13kv. phase. In the other incident details aren't clear if it was a 19 yr. old lineman app. or tree trimmer & all the facts haven't been released on this situation either but the word is that while trimming some trees from the ground, either the pole saw got across the phase or he grabbed a phase while assisting in tree trimming. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families and loved ones.
