Aluminum bell failure

We've been seeing these things fail for over five years now. There was a replacement program going on for awhile, but I guess it got too expensive, if ya know what I mean. I don't know if you've seen them totally break down yet, but you certainly will eventually. It's extremely violent, with molten aluminum flying everywhere. At first it was thought that the bells were only failing on 34.5KV, but we're even seeing it on 4.8KV now. The company has switched to polymer deadends now, but there is still a lot of aluminum in the air. If anyone's interested, I'll try to get some good photos of these bells after they've burned up and send them to Byron.
