2 Fatalities in 2 days on Peco Energy system.
Montgomery and Chester counties in PA.

10/20/98 - Carr and Duff contract lineman suffered apparent phase to ground flash while working on customer owned switch gear. Details are sketchy but it appears a 50 yr old lineman with 15yrs as journeyman suffered flash when he started working on customer gear without testing for no potential. Customer switch gear had one blade hung up and did not open properly. Contractor was DOA at hospital.

10/21/98 - Contractor working with a concrete pouring boom truck (the type used for pouring concrete for foundations) was getting ready to install a bridge abutment and came in contact with a phase wire energized at 19200v. The circuit tripped off and tried back after 30sec and then locked out. Contractor was apparently using a remote control device and was standing on the ground next to the truck when accident occurred. Both the boom truck and a truck next to it were enflamed by the flash. The contractor was DOA at nearby hospital.
