WE HAD A NEAR MISS ABOUT A MONTH AGO. WE WERE DOING BREAKER MAINTENANCE, SWAPPING THEM OUT AND INSTALLED ONE THAT HAD BEEN ON THE DOCK FOR ABOUT THREE YEARS (ACCORDING TO RECORDS) IT WAS ON LINE CONNECTED BUT NOT ENGAGED FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES WHEN IT BLEW UP. BEST WE COULD TELL WAS IT HAD A CRACKED BUSHING ALLOWING WATER TO SEEP INTO THE BREAKER ALLOWING A TRACK OF RUST TO FORM FOR THE ELECTRICITY TO TRACK ON TO SHORT IT OUT. NEEDLESS TO SAY OUR CO-OP IS ALLOWING US TO INSTALL CUTOUTS ON OUR BREAKERS NOW INSTEAD OF DIRECT OR HOTLINE CLAMPS. NO ONE WAS HURT AND WE HAD A ONE YEAR APPRENTICE THAT DID SOME FANCY FOOTWORK BUT COULDN'T COVER ANY GROUND.
