Temporary Service Out.

We had a trouble call one afternoon to repair a 120/240 temporary service that we provide for new home builders.  When we arrive the man says, "My saw worked before lunch and now it doesn't work.  I think the plug in your temporary is bad."

The senior lineman checked the voltage and we decided to change the plug and ground fault breaker.  When we finished and plugged the mans Makita saw in still did not work.  Confused we again changed the plug and breaker and checked the voltage again.  We had 122/244 on the breaker but the saw still would not work.

Finally we asked for another tool to try in the plug.  Angrily the man said "This is a new saw and it worked an hour ago."  When the man returned with a drill, we plugged it up and the drill worked.
