Saturday night, with your family
hoping the phone would just let you be
Sitting in the chair with your little one,
when the phone rings its time to get it son.
You kiss him good bye and your wife gives a sigh.
Because she always worries that you might die.
You hit the job the wires down,
Pieces of insulator lay all over the ground.
The cause of the fault is a tree
The wind is howling and its hard to see.
Your gaffs are sharp your belt is good
You stick your hooks in to the wood
You free climb up with your rubbers on
Hoping the storm will soon be gone.
The rain feels like needles striking your face
Man your thinking I got get out of this place.
You sleeve the line and sag it to
You say to your self that should do.
On the ground you close it in
Hoping the fuse don’t blow again.
You get home, what a life
You grab your kid and hug your wife.
God was there right by your side
He kept you safe and gave your pride.
