You know they say being a trouble shooter is really a hard and thankless job for the lineman that night rider, lone ranger at night.

That guy working in the dark and cold freezing weather while everyone else is asleep warm in their beds tight.

Well let me tell you there is someone else awake doing a job unthankful as his, and that’s his wife yep that’s absolutely right .

She jumps just like he does when that phone rings late at night, she listens to what’s wrong and cusses the plight.

Watches anxiously as he dresses, slides on his packs, walks out the door climbs in his truck and drives away in the night.

Tell you that lineman doesn’t get paid enough to put his life on the line for no dang drunk hitting a pole, or a cat on the line.

My payment is never in dollars or cents its just hearing that lineman troubleshooter nightrider's key turn in the door. And knowing he is safe hearing his packs hit the floor.
