the poem of a lineman

oh what a treat

blisters and bruises, on your legs and feet

bad weather and dangers, all throught the night

sleep is not present, until there is light

with a push of a stick, a door is threw in

the lights are all on, and for you its the end

well keep on going

from town to town

so if your lights are still out

we still have a job to do

and when its all over

all we want, is a thank you
