I've bounced around from town to town

strung wire near and far-

set poles in every right of way, 

built lines in every bar.

I've met them all, from big to small,

with names like Stretch and Slim-

picked up some tricks that worked real slick

and some I'll never try again...

I've slept in dry shacks on job sites,

hoteled it here and there,

I've worked in every state and town,

hell, I've been everywhere.

But yet I stand here mesmerized,

for along the way I missed

the most f#%@*ed up way of doin' it,

'cause I've never seen a show like this!
