Out the window I watch the storm

I know the phone will ring soon

And My Lineman will be gone .

There’s no way of telling for how long.

I do the best I can to be ok

The kids are watching

Don’t want them to be afraid.

Hours go by and all I can do is pray.

Laying awake hoping he’s ok.

Thoughts run through my head

And I begin to worry and cry

Just as My Lineman pulls in the drive

Another night with safe return

Another night without any burns

I say thanks to god and the crew
