The Lineman's Prayer

Thank you Lord for letting me go tall, Standing in your hands to keep me from the fall.

Whether flying in abucket or climbing a pole, I know that you are with me in the heat and the cold.

Keep me safe in night and day from the power of those lines, and for my brothers too, I pray, will come home.

I know there is no light as great as you have shown, but for those in need here on earth I climb into the zone.

So keep me safe in wind and rain, All across the land, for I am a Lineman in your master plan.
