When I was stationed at Osan AFB Korea we had lightening strike one of our three phase dip poles that was being fed from a PMS. Blew all three cutouts off the pole. Traveled back to the PMS and destroyed it. When we got on scene the fire dept was getting ready to battle the raging inferno. When the boss explained that the incoming feed could still be hot And what 13.8 and water would do to the men holding the hose they backed off. After the fire burned out one of the Koreans said "know way that switch is still hot" as he reached in to pick up one the burned up cables the boss told him to bake off till all four compartments were tested. The incoming feed was still hot,the fire had melted the blades open instantly. If the boss(Tsgt Carmon Spivey) hadn't been thinking or watching someone would have been killed. IF IT"S NOT TESTED AND GROUNDED IT'S NOT DEAD
