The other day we built a 3 pot bank.  New pots had polymer arrestors mounted on them.  We heated the bank up two times to check voltage and rotation.  After we did the transfer, heated bank up again with stick, BOOM,  instantaneous arrestor fail, phase to ground. Don't put em on by hand!  Stay safe...
