Submitted By -            12-31-01 Today was my last day on the job. After 34 years it is time to retire. Dec. 11 1967 I started for $1.70 per hour, worked at about every position they had. 14 of those years was on the service truck , so I have worked my share of trouble calls. the calls I disliked the most was the flickering lights. They would usually call in during a storm and when I ask how long it had been going on the answer was always weeks , months and sometimes years. I worked my way to a line crew foreman job and had a great bunch of guys to work with. I worked my time without a lost time accident. So to all of you I leave working on the line work safe .
