No Fish Story Here

After being dispatched to a no power call at 3:00 am I pick up a buddy and head out. seeing the breaker was open we start looking the line over,Its a very rural location and we keep looking from 2 track roads that hit the line every 10 spans or so. after about an hour of looking we think that a tree has come through the phase and go to try the OCR. It doesn't hold, so I start walking,I walk to the river..nothing! by the time I walk back to the road to my line truck one of our younger lineman is waiting for me with the 6-wheeler. I jump on and start out again. after a few miles more I see a piece of wood hanging from the pole by the ground wire.(but not touching the phase.) so I keep going and two or three spans later I see what I think is another piece of pole flipped over the phase with the ground wire still attached. I found it! so I thought. I run out to the truck to get the long stick and the tree trimmers, get back to the first piece of pole hanging by the ground wire and cut it of. I get to the next "piece of pole" and try to knock it off the phase so I can cut the ground wire off of it. It falls to the ground, I think what the hell? then I think it must be a squirrel. I walk over to where it hit the ground knock the ferns out of the way and what do I find...A small bullhead catfish! an owl or possible a osprey must of stopped to have dinner and got more than they bargained for!

P.S. I went back to see if a bird was dead by the pole but was unable to find anything.
