Our linemen are busy
these cold winter days
So Heaters deep turning
and lights are a burning

They string miles of line
on wet icy towers
So serve up dinner,
there's plenty of power

To keep you content
they work ten hour days
With high voltage and danger
around, they stay

Their kids wait up
for them to come home
And when they walk in
they are tired and cold

Kids don't understand
the work that's involved
All they know is
Dad needs to be home

To drive by towers
may mean nothing to you
But to families with "lineman"
they really love you
