On call 11:30pm aircraft took down 7 spans 8Kv. we reset 2 tangents, strung in new conductor, and decided to re-sag the neutral in the morning. next day I untied 7 spans of the neutral, line still hot, and was going to cut in a sleeve to re-sag. with the foreman sagging for me, I jacked the conductor up until the neutral passed the primary. who knows what the foreman was doing! a young laborer started to yell. I stopped jacking. the wire had pinched behind the Forman, he was not paying enough attention. there was only a few inches of lateral separation between conductors. we had to kill the line to correct the sag. I was lucky!
